After your customer accepts a quote you've created, you can invoice directly from it to save time.
Instructions
- Navigate the the Quote you would like to create your Invoice from.
- Select the Copy to Invoice button (This button will only display if the quote has been approved and accepted).
- Select the Invoice Type and complete any other required fields for the invoice type.
- Select Okay.
- Make any updates to the invoice that you require, then Save or Approve.
Invoices Types
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Entire quote amount | To invoice the full quote value all at once. |
| Line items in quote | To Invoice only selected items on the quote, e.g. For pre-charging material items, or select high value/risk items, etc. |
| Percentage of quote | To Invoice a specific percentage of a quote, e.g. For deposits, payment plans, etc. |
| Fixed amount | To invoices a set cost value of the quote, e.g. taking a round number value for a deposit, pre-agreed payment values, etc. |
| Remaining amount | To invoice any remaining value on a quote which you have already done percentage or Fixed amount invoices for. |
Line Item Info
If your quote uses sections or kits, when converting to invoices you can:
- Group quote sections into a single line item on the invoice, and
- Group kits into a single line item.
- Or leave these toggles off and anything not grouped will be split out into their individual line items on the invoice.
Linked Quotes and Invoices
When you reopen the Quote, Tradify will show linked invoices on the quote below the cost totals.
Note: If the invoice values are modified after creation, these will not update on the quote, as the values shown on the Quote are a snapshot of the value at the time of creation and are used to enable the remaining value of the quote to be invoices if you generate
