Optional quote sections are a helpful way for customers to choose between different items or upgrade to a higher package, while still agreeing to the base cost of the quote.
Note: Quotes with options cannot be created or edit on the Tradify mobile app.

Add Options to a Quote
- Navigate to the Quotes page.
- Search for and select the quote you want to add sections too or create a new quote.
- Add at least one Line item (Price list item, time, Kit or Miscellaneous) to the quote.
- Hover over the item you want to move to an optional section and select the three dots (...) button on the right of the line item.

Select Add to Optional Section.

On the pop-up enter a Display Name (Mandatory) and add a description for the section (Optional).
- Select OK to add the optional section.
- Select Save & Continue on the Quote.
Section Settings and Info
Preview the quote before sending it to your customer by selecting the preview tab within the quote. If the sections are not displayed, click 'Customize this Document Theme', click the 'Quote' tab and toggle on 'Show sections' and 'Show section total'.
Note: Optional sections will not be included in the total amount for draft and approved quotes, they will only be included once the customer selects them when accepting the quote online.
What the Customer Sees & How They Accept a Quotes with Options
When an approved quote with options is sent to a customer, they can choose from the options when accepting the quote online.
- From the email or text message, your customer will open the quote link and choose from the options available.

They will select Review Options

Your customer will see a subtotal of included base items and selected optional sections.
- After selecting options, the customer clicks Accept Quote to confirm. An updated quote with the selected options will appear in the Total.

Customer choices will appear in your Tradify account on the accepted quote.
Accepting a Quote on behalf of my customer
You can accept an approved quote with options on behalf of your customer, and choose from the Options in the quote
Note: We only recommend doing this when you have received written confirmation for the quote acceptance/selected options.
- Navigate to the Quotes page.
- Search for and select the approved quote with options you need to accept on your customers behalf.
- Select Accept.
- In the pop-up tick on the options your customer has specified.
- Select Yes.
Now that the quote is accepted, You will be able to see an updated quote that includes the totals from any option that has been selected when accepting.
Invoicing a Quote with Options
When creating an invoice from a Quote with options, only accepted options will be copied to the invoice.
