Use Markup % on Quote Line Items

Topic

Use the Markup % field on quote lines to auto-calculate sell prices from cost prices, ensuring profitable margins without manual calculations.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Quote page.
  2. Search for and select the quote you want to add items to to create a new one.
  3. Add a line item to the quote by selecting Miscellaneous, Time, Price List Item, or Kit.
  4. In the Markup column on the line item update the % to your desired value.

Note: If you are unable to find the Markup column, this might be disabled in the columns filter. To enable this column, select the Columns dropdown and tick on Markup.

  5. Repeat for each item you want to add a markup to.
  6. Select Save on the Quote.

Note: The markup % is calculated on the item cost, which is set on items within the setting, e.g. directly on the price list item, billing rate, or cost. If an item does not have a cost added in the settings, a cost will need to be added manually for the markup to be calculated.
