Create a Quote on Tradify Mobile

Instructions

Create a new Quote independently from a job:

  1. Navigate to the Sales page.
  2. Select New Quote.
  3. Enter the details of your quote, including the customer's name, quote date, expiry date, etc.
  4. Add items to the quote.  These can be:
    • Time: Enter units of time for your labour, this uses your Billing Rates.
    • Price list item:  An item from previously entered Price List.
    • Kit: previously defined group of items at set pricing, these can be managed in your settings under Kits.
    • Miscellaneous:  This allows you to enter information directly inline.
  5. Preview your quote by selecting the Eye icon to ensure the quote shows how you need it to. If you want to change the layout, check out Managing Multiple Document Themes.
  6. When you're happy, select either Save or Approve

If you're onsite, you can also collect a Customer Signature for Quote Acceptance on the Tradify App- for mobile or tablet. 

Note: When sending a quote somewhere, all email addresses that have previously been sent the quote will be included in the "to:' field in the email and therefore visible to all recipients.

Note: Once the quote is accepted, Tradify will ask if you would like to create a job based on the details of the quote.  If you select Yes, Tradify will automatically take you to the Job.

You can also create a quote from:

  • a Job; Do this from the Quote tab in the job.
  • a Customers profile; Do this from the Quote Tab in the Customer profile.

Understanding What Each Field Means

Field Description
Customer Search for an existing customer by typing in the customer field. If it's for a new customer, click the '+' icon to create a new customer profile.
Quote Date This is the date of the quote, and it defaults to today.
Expiry Date Set the quote expiry date.  This defaults to today's date plus the number of days specified in your Default Expiry Days setting. 
Tax Inclusive or exclusive.
Reference Include a customer reference or order number if available.
Description A brief description of the purpose of the quote or the work to be done.
Terms Insert any terms of trade here - these will default to those in your Document Theme.
Notes Feel free to add any notes or files to the quote. For information on attaching files, see here.
Document Theme This is the selected quote layout to use when printing or emailing this Quote to a customer. You can find out more about Document Themes here.
