Create a Quote on Tradify Mobile

To create a quote from the Quote Dashboard on mobile:

  1. Click the New Quote button to start a new quote.
  2. Enter the details of your quote, including the customer's name, quote date, expiry date and whether the quote is tax inclusive or exclusive.   
  3. You can add a reference and description if you need.
  4. Add items to the quote.  These can be:
    • Miscellaneous:  This allows you to enter information directly inline.
    • Time: Enter units of time for your labour, such as quantity of hours, and select a billing rate (unit cost and unit sell price) from previously set up rates.
    • Price list item:  Search for and add an item from previously entered price lists, including any previously defined Kit
  5. Preview your quote in the Preview tab, ensuring you are using the right document theme. If you want to change the layout, check out Managing Multiple Document Themes
  6. If you'd like to add options to your quote, add a section through a line item and edit the section to be optional. Learn more about Quote options in Create a Quote With Options.
  7. When you're happy, select either Save & ContinueSave & Exit or Approve

That's it! Once you've saved your quote, you can send it to your customer for review and approval.

If you're onsite, you can also collect a Customer Signature for Quote Acceptance on the Tradify App- for mobile or tablet. 

 

Note: When sending a quote somewhere, all email addresses that have previously been sent the quote will be included in the "to:' field in the email and therefore visible to all recipients. 
Note: Once you have approved the quote, Tradify will ask if you'd like to create a job based on the details of the quote.  If you select Yes, Tradify will automatically take you to the Job

You can also create a quote from:

  • a job;
  • a customer profile;
  • the Dashboard.

 

Understanding What Each Field Means

  • Customer  Enter the customer this quote is for.  This field cannot be left blank. If this quote is for an existing customer search for the customer by typing in the customer field.
Note: If this quote is for a new customer, click the '+' icon to create the customer from scratch. You can find out more about entering a new customer here
  • Pricing Level - Use this field to determine which pricing-set to charge on this quote. For more information on setting up and configuring Pricing Levels, please see here.
  • Quote Date – The date of the quote. This defaults to today.
  • Due Date The date at which the quote expires.  This defaults to today’s date + the number of days specified in your Default Expiry Days setting. You can find out more about quote Settings here.
  • Reference – A customer reference or order number.
  • Document Theme - This represents the quote layout theme to use when printing or emailing this Quote to a customer. You can find out more about Document Themes here.
  • Description – Use this field to enter a description of what the quote is for or the work to be done.
  • Notes - Use this section to add notes and/or files to your quote. For more information on attaching files, please see here.
