How To Find Your Disappearing Tradify Mobile Notifications

Topic

If mobile notifications don't appear on your lock screen, it might be due to your device's notification settings. Usually, you can view notifications in the Notification Store, which varies between iOS and Android devices.

Accessing the Notifications Store on Android

  1. Swipe down at the top of your screen.
  2. You'll see notifications that you haven't viewed yet. These will be accessible until you view them.

Accessing the Notifications Centre on iOS/Apple

  1. Swipe down at the top of your screen.
  2. On some iOS devices, you'll need to select Notifications on the screen that drops down. On others, you'll view them as soon as you scroll down.

Once here, you can view notifications that you haven't been opened yet.

Notifications Arriving Late, All at Once, or Only When You Open the App (Android)

If Tradify notifications only show after opening the app, arrive hours late, or appear all at once after a long delay, your phone's battery settings might be stopping Tradify from running in the background. Android can delay notifications while an app is idle and send them together once the app runs again. This often happens on Samsung devices but can occur on other Android phones too.

To resolve this:

  1. Go to your phone's Settings > Select Apps > Select Tradify >Select Battery, and set it to Unrestricted.
  2. Go to Settings > Select Battery and device care > Select Battery > Select Background usage limits. Then check the Sleeping apps and Deep sleeping apps lists, and remove Tradify if it appears there. You can also add Tradify to the Never sleeping apps list.
  3. Go to Settings > Select Apps > Select Tradify > Select App info and turn off Pause app activity if unused (This may also be called Remove permissions if app is unused on some android phones).

It's worth checking these settings again after reinstalling the app or updating your phone's software, as they are often reset back to their default, battery-saving values.

After making these changes, restart your phone and check if notifications come through as expected.

Note: These steps may look slightly different depending on your phone brand and Android version, but most Android devices have similar battery optimization settings under Settings > Battery.
