Tradify Credit Card Payments Overview

With Tradify's Credit Card Payment option, you can make getting paid by your customers via an secure payment processor even more smooth, seamless and efficient.

Note: Only available in the UK and AU regions currently. 

Instructions

  1. Head to Settings.
  2. Select Payments.
  3. Select the Setup Credit Card Payments button.
  4. Agree to the Terms & Conditions.
  5. On the new tab, enter the required business details to complete the application process.
  6. Once completed, you will be returned to your Tradify and be In Review.

Note: Your application is now under In Review, and Tradify will notify you when you can begin accepting payments. Once approved, you'll get an email from Tradify and see a Connected status in the payment settings, allowing you to start accepting card payments.

Where you can use Tradify Credit Card Payments

You can offer your customers online credit card payments on any invoice you email or SMS via Tradify. Customers will be taken to a page where they can pay securely online.

Note: payments made outside of your region will not work. For example, you cannot make payments to a UK based business from France.

Note: In the UK, surcharging is legal for business-to-business transactions, but not for business to consumer transactions. Consumer Rights (Payment Surcharges) Regulations 2012

Transaction Fees

Transaction fees are as follows:

United Kingdom:

  • 1.7% (Inc VAT) of the invoice total + 0.20 (Inc VAT) for standard cards.
  • 2.1% (Inc VAT) of the invoice total + 0.20 (Inc VAT) for premium cards.
  • 3.45% (Inc VAT) of the invoice total + 0.20 (Inc VAT) for American Express Cards.

Australia:

  • 1.9% (Inc GST) of the invoice total + 0.30 (Inc GST) for Standard AU cards.
  • 3.7% (Inc GST) of the invoice total + 0.20 (Inc GST) for American Express Cards.

Fees are comprised of:

  • Merchant Acquiring fees (varies by card type)
  • Payment Gateway fee (varies by volume)
  • Tradify specific service charges

Processing times for eligible countries

The first payout will be made 7 days after your first payment from a customer. Then subsequent Payouts are made on a 3-day rolling schedule. This delay protects your business, customers, and Tradify from the increased risk of fraudulent activity.

You will be able to view your payouts within the Payouts tab of your Payments Settings on the web version of Tradify.
