What are release notes?

We are regularly updating Tradify and making it better to help you manage your business, and our release notes ensure you stay up to date with these enhancements. Release notes are a log of new features, improvements, bug fixes, and performance updates in each of our software releases. They help you stay informed about improvements and changes within Tradify that may impact your workflow. Keeping up to date helps ensure you’re using the latest tools efficiently, and avoid surprises.

Web

Bug Fixes & Enhancements:

  • Resolved an issue where the Job Service Report description field would become blank after saving if not at the top.
  • Resolved an issue where canceling the Google Calendar authentication would result in a Raygun error.
  • Updated the wording on the 2FA tooltip toggle in the admin portal.
  • Made a change so that any region may now enable 2FA.

Document Rendering

Adjustments to Quote PDF to improve clarity for Quotes with Options:

  • Changed the styling in the Quote Totals to show the number of included options in a lozenge.
  • Changed the styling for optional sections to make it easy to identify options and their associated costs by:
    • Implementing a new lozenge and tag within the section header indicating whether an option is not included, accepted or declined.
    • Utilizing strikethrough text for declined options.
    • For Tax Exclusive quotes in a draft or approved state, the tax and total for the optional section are now displayed, providing comprehensive information to users.
  • Now optional sections will always show, including totals, even if the "Show Sections" and/or "Show Section Total" settings are switched off in the Document Theme.
  • We have tightened up the vertical spacing in Quotes.
    • ❗IMPORTANT: this reduction in vertical space applies to ALL quotes. NOT just quotes with options.❗

Document Rendering

Adjustments to Quote PDF to improve clarity for Quotes with Options:

  • Updated the logic around showing optional sections when the setting for Show Line Items is switched off in the Document Theme (more details can be found in the new help article).
  • Updated the logic for showing Tax information on PDF:
    • Now we show Tax names where it’s possible.
    • We don’t show the line for Tax in option totals if all option line items have zero Tax Rate.

  • Fixed an issue with the Job Service Report description field showing as blank if its position was moved from top.
  • Fixed minor issues with the Xero Two Way Sync so it will run more efficiently.

  • When a customer's pricing level is archived, the default pricing level is used for Quotes, Invoices, Jobs and price list items within them.

  • Fixed an issue where if a Kit was added to a Quote Option with quantity greater thab 1 then the Tax Amount for this Option had an incorrect value on the pdf.

  • Added “Email Sent” column to the Service Reminder listing screen to show the date of the most recently sent email.
  • Email template deletion is now prevented if the template is linked to an existing service reminder.

Important Note: The Automatic Email Reminders feature is currently not visible in the user interface. Updates related to this feature include:

  • Introduced an inline error message on the Service Reminder Details Page. This message appears when the Automatic Email Reminder is enabled but email addresses for the Customer or Site are missing.
  • Added an infobox to the Email Reminder section of Service Reminder details page indicating the scheduled or actual send date of the reminder.

Stripe:

  • Updated the “Pass surcharge” toggle to include premium card rate if available for UK & Ireland users.
  • Updated Surcharge Fee Modal to show Premium cards breakdown for UK & Ireland users.

  • Updated ELPITC, and ELESCC, and 3CMW forms have been released to all customers. Including:
    • Updated design
    • New form layouts to improve the user experience while filling them out.

  • Fixed an issue where the system incorrectly identified certain CSV files as binary, which could prevent users from uploading Price List files and trigger a file type error.

  • If 2FA enabled, French customers can now use the following paths to update the mobile number used for 2FA:

    • Privacy and Security → Change their mobile number

    • Staff → Other (with 2FA completed) → Reset 2-Step Security
  • If a customer can't send custom emails because they do not have 2FA enabled, we now show options on email screens that launch the 2FA enrollment screen.

  • From now, when a trialist starts a paid subscription, they will have 2 weeks to enable 2FA. There will be daily prompts allowing a skip option until the time it becomes mandatory.
    • Reactivated companies will also have 2 weeks to enable 2FA, unless a previously set deadline exists.

  • We’ve added the new Non-Domestic Fire Detection and Alarm System Verification Certificate.
