What are release notes?
We are regularly updating Tradify and making it better to help you manage your business, and our release notes ensure you stay up to date with these enhancements. Release notes are a log of new features, improvements, bug fixes, and performance updates in each of our software releases. They help you stay informed about improvements and changes within Tradify that may impact your workflow. Keeping up to date helps ensure you’re using the latest tools efficiently, and avoid surprises.

January 13, 2025
Bug Fixes & Enhancements:
- SmartWrite is now included on the Plus features list within the Choose Your Plan page, including hover-over text for additional details.
- Fixed an issue in the search functionality, when the search function was meant to search word-by-word but was instead searching for the entire text. This has been updated to correctly process each search word individually, improving search accuracy and functionality.
- We have added a total due amount on invoice overdue and unpaid invoices lists, allowing you to easily see outstanding payments.
- We have added a total counter for all tabs on the customer view (Excluding ‘Information’)
- New staff members will now have ‘Basic’ permissions by default, this includes ‘Jobs’ & ‘Timesheets’ permissions. Previously they would also have ‘Invoice’ permission.

Mobile App Version 7.30.0
SmartWrite (available on Plus Plan):
- Placeholder text has been added to the Draft Quote description field when empty, encouraging users to try the SmartWrite feature.
Bug Fixes & Enhancements:
- Fixed an issue where the mobile keyboard was blocking Quick Note’s text area.
- New staff members will now have ‘Basic’ permissions by default, this includes ‘Jobs’ & ‘Timesheets’ permissions. Previously they would also have ‘Invoice’ permission.

- Email field is now prepopulated on the NZ Electrical Certificate.
- We have disabled new Northern Territory Certificate of Compliance forms from being created. Users still retain the ability to edit/preview/print any existing forms.

- Added a “Licence Number” field to the staff member “Personal Information” section.
- Added the ability to prepopulate forms & certificates with the staff licence number when applicable.
- Fixed an issue where the error message "customerSMSEnabled is required" prevented companies from creating and scheduling Recurring Job types. This issue previously affected all countries where SMS was not enabled.

- The address from an enquiry is now copied to both the physical and delivery addresses.
- Improved error messages so the wording dynamically adjusts for singular and plural forms.

- The "Accept Quote" button is now disabled when a Quote includes only optional items. Ensuring customers select at least one option in order to proceed.

- Increased the text limits with the ‘Description of works’ field on QLD Certificate of Testing.

- Added brief explanations for different settings within the settings page that didn't have any yet.
- Creating a Bill via SmartRead now automatically adds a Note with the scanned bill attached and adds “Source Document” as the description. Furthermore, syncing bills to accounting software now automatically includes the scanned bill.

- The creator of the To-Do task is now displayed as “Entered By,” similar to how job tasks are shown.
- Resolved the follow issues with scrolling in the To-Do List:
- After scrolling down the list and switching to another tab, the focus will now return to the top of the list as expected.
- Resolved an issue on iOS where scrolling the To-Do List sometimes wouldn't work.
