How to Share your Enquiries Link using Mobile Text Replacements

One way you can save your enquiry form to easily send to potential customers, is to save it as a new text replacement. If you haven’t used these before, setting up text replacements on your phone is a useful way to save time typing out common phrases or even links. 

On iPhone

  1. Navigate to The iPhone Settings
  2. Scroll down to the General option.
  3. Scroll down to find the Keyboard option.
  4. Navigate to the Text Replacement option.
  5. Tap on the + icon in the top right corner.
  6. In the fields provided, enter the phrase you want to use and the shortcut that will trigger it.
    Phrase example: Hi there, thanks for your call - please fill out this form https://tradehq.com/perkinsplumbing/enquire and I’ll get back to you with a quote as soon as I can.
    Shortcut example: enq
  7. Tap Save in the top right corner of the screen.

To test it out:

  1. Open a messaging app (e.g. Text app, Messages, Whatsapp, etc).
  2. Type your shortcut and then hit the space bar; the shortcut will automatically expand to the full phrase.

You've now successfully set up a text replacement on your phone. You can add as many shortcuts as you like following the same steps. It's a great way to save time on typing common phrases or information.

On Android (Samsung)

Note: These steps will vary by brand of android device.
  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down to find and select the General Management option. 
  3. Find and select the Keyboard Settings option.
  4. Find and select Text Shortcuts option. 
  5. To add a new text replacement, tap on the + icon in the top right.
  6. Enter the phrase you want to use and the shortcut that will trigger it.
    Phrase example: Hi there, thanks for your call - please fill out this form https://tradehq.com/perkinsplumbing/enquire and I’ll get back to you with a quote as soon as I can.
    Shortcut example: enq
  7. Once you've entered your desired phrase and shortcut, tap Add to save your new text replacement.
