Report Sections
The Job Financial Report is broken down into the following 3 sections:
- Cost breakdown: Detailed cost breakdown of Time and Materials (along with a combined figure of both).
- Visual breakdown: Visual graph relating to the cost breakdown.
-
Total: Totals are shown at the bottom of the report.
Field Breakdowns
| Field | Content |
|---|---|
| Job No | The job number and customer. |
| Break Down |
Time - All timesheet entries are assigned to the Job unless "Generate invoices using job appointments instead of timesheets" is enabled. See the section below for details. Materials - Any material costs assigned to the Job (only materials listed in the job's 'cost' section). Total - Both Time and Materials combined. |
| Estimated Cost | The Estimated Cost shows the total of all quotes for the job. If no quotes exist, it displays $0.00. |
| Actual Cost |
The Actual Cost is a combined total cost of any time and materials entered against the job. Note: Time cost is calculated using each staff member's hourly pay rate from their profile, multiplied by the hours logged. If no rate is set in the staff members profile, the default cost rate from the billing rate is used instead. |
| Invoiced | The invoiced amount relates to the total value of all invoices (excluding GST, VAT or Sales Tax). |
| To Invoice | This shows the total unbilled time and materials for the job. It’s accurate only if you use the Time & Materials Invoice option when invoicing. |
| Gross Profit | The gross profit is calculated from the Invoiced amount minus the Actual Cost. |
| Profit Margin | This represents the percentage of profit in your selling price. |
If you have 'Generate invoices using job appointments instead of timesheets' enabled
If this option is enabled, Tradify bases labour cost reports on scheduled appointments, not timesheet entries.
For example, if you enable this option and schedule a 2-hour appointment for a job, the job's financial report will show the costs for that appointment.
