There are several ways of creating quotes in Tradify. The most common way is to create them from the Quote Dashboard, but depending on your desired workflows, you may use any of the 4 processes listed below.
Creating Quotes from the Quote Dashboard
Note: This process is recommended if you'd prefer to create a quote before creating a job.
To create a quote from the Quote Dashboard, head over to Quotes and then select "New Quote". Enter in your relevant details for your quote and then select "Save".
Important Note: Once you've created the quote, Tradify will ask if you'd like to create a job based on the details of the quote. If you select "Yes", Tradify will automatically take you to the Job.
Note: Once you're in the quote screen, the following fields will be available to edit.
Customer – Enter the customer this quote is for. This field cannot be left blank. If this quote is for an existing customer search for the customer by typing in the customer field.
Note: If this quote is for a new customer, click the '+' icon to create the customer from scratch. You can find out more about entering a new customer here.
Site - Use this if your customer has separate physical locations and you wish to record which customer location this quote is at. For more information on setting up and configuring sites, please see here.
Pricing Level - Use this field to determine which pricing-set to charge on this quote. For more information on setting up and configuring Pricing Levels, please see here.
Quote Date – The date of the quote. This defaults to today.
Due Date – The date at which the quote expires.
Note: This defaults to today’s date + the number of days specified in your Default Expiry Days setting. You can find out more about quote Settings here.
Reference – A customer reference or order number.
Document Theme - This represents the quote layout theme to use when printing or emailing this Quote to a customer. You can find out more about Document Themes here.
Description – Use this field to enter a description of what the quote is for or the work to be done.
Notes - Use this section to add notes and/or files to your quote. For more information on attaching files, please see here.

Creating Quotes from a Job
Note: This process is recommended if you'd prefer to create a Job, before creating a quote.
To create a quote from within a Job, head over to the Jobs and open up the relevant Job. Once the Job has opened, click on the quotes tab and then select "New Quote".
Creating Quotes from the Dashboard
To create a quote from your company Dashboard, head over to Dashboard > select the + icon > followed by "New Quote".
Creating Quotes from the Customer Profile
You can also create quotes directly from within the customer profile. To do so, click on Customers > select the relevant customer > click on the Quotes tab > then select "New Quote".
